Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) is approximately 50 km north of Oslo. The Airport Express train (flytoget) lets you arrive at the “Nationaltheatret” Station in just 25 minutes. Once off the train, follow exit signs to Karl Johans gate, where the Grand Hotel is located on the left-hand side of the street- approx. 100 metres.


For further information, the airport provides support from its information desk in the arrivals hall, once past baggage claim and customs. If you wish to take a taxi, the drive takes about 50 minutes and costs around 800NOK (75 EUR) to reach the Grand Hotel. All taxis accept credit cards.

The 17th of May is Norway’s Constitution Day and biggest national holiday. It is a unique chance to experience Norwegian culture and the many public celebrations planned to take place all over the city of Oslo, including its downtown center.
